Cosmo's Classic

"Enjoy" a 100-mile bike ride to all six Cosmo's Pizza locations. Don't overthink it; it's exactly as stupid as it sounds.

Rules

  1. At each Cosmo's, you must eat one slice of pizza & one spicy ranch
  2. Try to have fun?

Route

In the likely event you don't want to indulge in all 100 miles and 6 slices of unbridled idiocy, please join in for just part of the ride! For example, starting from Boulder results in a ~50 mile ride; from Lafayette, a cool 30 miles.

From Fort Collins to Loveland, the route is on dedicated concrete bike paths.

From Loveland to Longmont, it's on low/medium-traffic asphalt county roads with good visibility and shoulders that vary from "generous" to "narrow". Only recommended for people comfortable biking on roads.

Then, from Longmont onwards, the route is almost entirely on crushed gravel or concrete dedicated bike paths, and quiet neighborhood streets. I have spent a lot of effort in refining this portion of the route to be safe and comfortable for everyone!

An estimated schedule:

Time Location Mile Marker
11:00 AM Cosmo's Fort Collins 0 mi
~2:00 PM Longmont Meeting Spot (Airport & 119) 41 mi
~3:00 PM Cosmo's Boulder (28th St) 53 mi
~4:00 PM Cosmo's Boulder (Baseline) 58 mi
~5:45 PM Cosmo's Lafayette 70 mi
~8:30 PM Cosmo's Denver (Federal) 95 mi
~9:30 PM Cosmo's Denver (6th Ave) 100 mi

Commemorative Shirt

If you'd like to look extremely stupid while you do something extremely stupid, get a commemorative shirt when signing up! The shirts are 95% polyester / 5% elastane, so they are fine to wear on the ride and will dry quickly. $20 each.

Notes

  • This is not a bigtime event by any means, I just thought it would be fun to go a bit overboard and make a website
  • Depending on how many people we have sign up, I may coordinate transportation
  • If you're coming from out of town and need to rent a bike, Full Cycle and REI in Boulder are a couple good options
  • This is not a race, it's an informal group ride, so we'll make sure people don't get dropped
  • Sundown is at ~8:30 PM, so please bring your bike lights in the likely event we need to ride in the dark
  • Cosmo's is not associated with this in any way*
